From Techo Airport to central Phnom Penh

Is there a nonstop flight to Phnom Penh from the US?
No. Every routing has at least one stop. The fastest connect in Taipei: 19.5 to 20 hours from San Francisco or Los Angeles, a little over 21 hours from Chicago or Dallas.
Do US citizens need a visa for Cambodia?
Yes, with a passport valid six months beyond arrival. The tourist e-Visa has cost $30 since January 1, 2025, and visa on arrival is also available at Techo. Before landing, fill in the free e-Arrival card, within 7 days of arrival.
Should you fly into Phnom Penh or Siem Reap?
For the Mekong, Phnom Penh: the city is on the river, and Techo gets the one-stop connections. Siem Reap's airport, about 50 km from town, has no long-haul flights, so from the US it usually means two stops. Cambodia Airways links Techo and Siem Reap twice a day.
How long should you allow for a connection?
On a single ticket, the airline sets the minimum connection time and rebooks you if the first flight is late. With separate tickets, allow at least 3 hours: you may have to collect your bags and check in again.
